A door that never stops
The phone keeps the night's list as SHA-256 fingerprints, never the tickets' secrets, and decides with the server's own rules. Each scan carries its own ID, so a batch sent twice counts once.
Case study · Nightlife SaaS
Aforena is the management and ticketing platform for clubs, venues, promoters, beach clubs and festivals. We designed and built it end to end: tickets, guest lists, tables, door, bar, payments and the team's whole back office, on phones and computers.

The challenge
Clubs and promoters often run each night across separate tools: one for tickets, another for guest lists, a spreadsheet for tables and a door that depends on the phone signal. Nothing talks to anything else, and at 1 am there's no time to fix it.
The goal: one platform for the whole night, from announcing the party to Monday's numbers, built so the door never stops.
Everything a night needs in one platform, sharing one database, one login and one design.
Events, sales, team, reports and settings on a phone or a computer, with seven roles checked on every request.
Approvals, support, finance and a full history of every action, behind two-step verification.
Drafts, preview, versions and a media library, so the team edits the home page in six languages without code.
Each venue's events on its own address, plus a calendar any website can embed with a short snippet.
Prices that rise by date or quota, add-ons, discount codes and QR tickets by email.
QR scanning, live capacity and box office on the team's own phones, even without signal.
Personal links, quotas, attribution and commissions for every promoter.
A drag-and-drop floor plan, deposits, minimum spend and a bar till that charges each table's tab.
Each venue sells on its own Stripe account, set up in three steps without leaving Aforena.
Customer history and tags, CSV export and email campaigns only to people who said yes.
Hotels and agencies sell from their own websites, with revocable keys and safe retries.
Aforena and Aforena Scanner: the back office and the door, full screen on the phone.
Every part of the product, at the moment of the night it's used.
The event goes up on the venue's page with tickets that rise in price by date or quota. Every promoter sells with their own link, and the venue sees live who's bringing whom.

The team scans tickets, guest lists, tables and passes with their own phones. Every ticket works once, capacity updates itself and, if the signal drops, the door keeps working.

Every table has a name, a deposit and a minimum spend. At the bar, each sale goes on its table's tab: the door knows who's arrived and the bar knows what they've spent.

Sales by day, channel and promoter, real attendance and the customers who come back, ready to export or to invite to the next night.

Product mock-ups with sample data, as shown on aforena.com.
Nine decisions, all of them in the code, that keep Aforena fast, secure and dependable when the night is at its busiest.
The phone keeps the night's list as SHA-256 fingerprints, never the tickets' secrets, and decides with the server's own rules. Each scan carries its own ID, so a batch sent twice counts once.
Every purchase locks the event's price tiers in the database, so two buyers can't take the same last ticket. Tested with five simultaneous checkouts for the last three.
Two-step verification for staff, an append-only history of every staff action with its reason, a Content Security Policy with a nonce per page, and limits per IP and per email on every public form.
Customers belong to each venue. The legal representative's ID details go straight to Stripe and are never stored, a buyer's location is kept as a country, never an IP, and campaigns only reach people who said yes.
Direct charges: the buyer's money goes straight to the venue, with Aforena's commission as the application fee. Refunds and chargebacks keep tickets and money in step.
Pages rendered on the server, images in WebP, effects only on computers and posters instead of videos on phones. It respects reduced motion and data saver.
Spanish, English, French, Italian, Dutch and German everywhere, emails and legal pages included, picked by the visitor's country. Events carry schema.org data with their tickets.
The door installs as an app that opens offline, and two Android apps wrap the same back office, so every improvement reaches them the moment it's published.
Its own containers, database, backups and domain, designed to move to its own server in an afternoon. Checked backups every night and a full staging copy to try every change first.

The result
Aforena runs in production on its own addresses: the website at aforena.com, each venue's pages at go.aforena.com, and the back office and admin panel at app.aforena.com. Venues join by invitation during the private beta.
From the first sketch to the app on your phone: we design it, build it and keep it running with you.
